My thoughts on Time Management

Recently some of my colleagues asked me share tips on time management. Nothing much to talk about. Few tips are:

1. To manage emails, use coloring, message marking, follow ups, archive rules & short cuts.
2. I rigidly stick to office work during office hours
3. Always make a to do list and follow
4. Read good books in your area. You get good ideas.
5. Its about 4 hour drive from my Home to Office & back. I have hired a driver, bought a BlackBerry & a small stand for Laptop in my car. My study room at home allows me to be productive. It always helps investing in yourself.
   
6. I rewrite all important emails 2-3 times before sending.
   
7. Idea is to manage team by objectives, manage by exceptions, constantly prioritize & Enable Team members so that they can deliver
   
8. I normally stay organized

That said, I have a long way to go in balancing work & home :)

This Diwali, I plan to buy myself an eBook Reader. So nice to have 1000s of Books along with you, on the go. Being a coffee addict, I was also planning to buy an Espresso Coffee Pump Machine. But Of course, I am prioritizing eBook Reader.
